VWV appoints Marc White as partner and notary public
Law firm VWV has appointed Marc White as a partner and notary public in its Estates, Tax & Trusts team.
Marc joins the firm with more than two decades of experience advising individuals and families on private client matters, including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate planning.
He has also built specialist expertise in notary services, adding a new capability to VWV’s private client offering.
Marc previously built and ran his own practice in north Bristol and is also a CEDR-qualified commercial mediator and a member of STEP, the professional body for practitioners advising families across generations.
He joins VWV alongside two colleagues: Natalia Ciobanu, a notary assistant who speaks Romanian and Russian, and Lydia Perez, a probate paralegal who speaks Spanish.
Marc is fluent in French and Spanish and has developed an international network through his notarial work and his time practising as a lawyer in Alicante, Spain, between 2003 and 2010.
VWV said the appointment will support the growth of its international offering, particularly for clients with cross-border private client and notarial requirements.
Michelle Rose, head of private client at VWV, said:
Marc and I have known one another for a very long time — in fact since we studied together at law school. We kept in touch and watched our careers take off in different directions and so it is a genuine pleasure, after all these years, to welcome him to VWV.
The international focus Marc brings not just to the team, but the wider firm is an exciting development both for us and our clients.
Marc said:
Nobody will be surprised to hear that I am immensely proud to be joining such a highly regarded firm. I look forward to supporting VWV’s clients whilst also offering my existing contacts a far broader range of legal services from expert colleagues.
The appointment adds further senior expertise to VWV’s private client team and broadens the firm’s services for clients with cross-border legal needs.
