Ergochair and Office Interiors brought together under new Access Environments group

Ergochair and Office Interiors Wholesale have been brought together under a new group identity, Access Environments.

The move brings the two businesses under one group structure while allowing them to continue operating as distinct brands.

Access Environments has been created to reflect the common ownership of Ergochair and Office Interiors, as well as their complementary strengths across ergonomic seating, workplace furniture, product supply and logistics.

Both businesses will retain their existing teams, customer relationships and routes to market.

The group said the new identity would give customers, dealers and partners access to a broader workplace offer, combining Ergochair’s specialist ergonomic seating expertise with Office Interiors’ wider furniture portfolio, stockholding and delivery infrastructure.

It added that the group structure would also support more joined-up project support, wider sourcing options and greater supply chain resilience.

Rob Lunga, chairman of Access Environments, said the two businesses brought different but complementary strengths to the group.

He said:

Ergochair and Office Interiors are highly complementary businesses with distinct strengths. Access Environments gives us a clearer way to communicate the scale and capability behind the two brands, while allowing each business to retain the identity, relationships and focus that made it successful.

Bristol-based Ergochair was founded in 2002 and designs specialist ergonomic seating for the workplace, home office and clinical environments.

The company originally built its reputation by creating personalised seating solutions for people with complex clinical needs. It now applies the same focus on adaptability, comfort and personalisation across a wider range of working environments.

Ben Caton, managing director at Ergochair, said:

Ergochair has always been focused on helping people sit, work and live better. Our strength is bespoke seating, particularly where comfort, adaptability and personalisation really matter. Being part of Access Environments allows us to support customers with a broader workplace solution when they need it, without diluting our focus on ergonomics.

Office Interiors Wholesale has more than 43 years of industry experience and operates as a trade-only office furniture wholesaler serving dealers and resellers across the UK and Ireland.

Its product range includes office pods, desks, storage, tables, and seating, supported by stockholding, customer service, and a dedicated logistics operation with its own vehicle fleet.

Ben England, managing director at Office Interiors Wholesale, said:

Office Interiors has built its reputation on product range, stock availability, service and reliable delivery. Our customers value the speed and consistency we bring, and that will not change. Working alongside Ergochair within Access Environments adds specialist ergonomic seating expertise to the wider group, giving customers and partners access to a more complete solution.

The Access Environments identity is now in place, with both businesses saying they will continue to build on their respective strengths while responding to increasing demand for flexible, performance-driven workplace solutions.
