The TEFL Org Named One of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026
Andy Healy, Managing Director of TEFL

The TEFL Org has been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, adding to a growing list of workplace and ethical business accreditations for the employee-owned training provider.

The company, which delivers Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualifications to learners around the world, was recognised as part of the national employer rankings compiled in partnership with workplace engagement specialists WorkL.

The accolade is based on anonymous employee survey responses and measures areas including leadership, wellbeing, professional development and workplace culture.

Operating as a fully remote business with employees based across the UK, The TEFL Org said the recognition reflected its focus on flexibility, trust and employee wellbeing despite not having a central office hub.

Alan Moir, operations manager at the company, said the award reflected the culture built across the organisation’s distributed workforce.

This recognition is a real testament to the people who make up The TEFL Org — their dedication, values and the culture we’ve built together. Being a small, fully remote team means every voice genuinely counts, and I think that comes through in results like these.

The latest recognition follows a period of growing accreditation for the business. In 2024, The TEFL Org achieved B Lab B Corp certification, joining businesses recognised for meeting standards around social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

The company also operates under an employee ownership model, giving staff a direct stake in the organisation’s long-term success.

Founded with a mission to make TEFL training more accessible globally, The TEFL Org has trained tens of thousands of aspiring English language teachers and provides online qualifications designed to support teachers at different stages of their careers.

The business said it plans to continue investing in employee development, flexible working, and staff involvement in decision-making as it grows.
