Bristol Logistics Firm Reveals Bold New Identity and Shares £11.2bn Post-Brexit Success Story

Europa Worldwide Group’s Bristol operation has unveiled a new brand identity and manifesto as the logistics giant marks its 60th anniversary and reflects on what it describes as an £11.2bn post-Brexit success story.

The Bradley Stoke-based branch, part of Europa Road, has launched the company’s new “Powered by Better” positioning as the business looks to build on rapid growth across its road freight, warehousing and air and sea divisions.

The Bristol team, led by branch manager Ben Geddes, has supported exporters across the South West for more than 20 years and is regarded as one of Europa Road’s flagship operations.

The rebrand comes as parent company Europa Worldwide Group says it has quadrupled in size over the last 13 years despite ongoing global economic uncertainty and supply chain disruption.

Europa said its road freight division has transported £11.2bn worth of goods between the UK and EU since post-Brexit trade rules were introduced in 2020, with the company claiming to have moved double the freight volume of its nearest competitor during the same period.

Central to that growth has been Europa Flow, the group’s customs and freight solution designed to reduce border friction and customs delays for UK exporters and importers trading with Europe.

Andrew Baxter, chief executive and owner of Europa Worldwide Group, said the last six years had been a defining period for the UK logistics sector.

“While others saw obstacles, we built bridges,” he said.

“Moving £11bn worth of goods in such a complex climate proves that with the right innovation, British exporters remain resilient and competitive.”

The new “Powered by Better” identity will roll out across the company’s fleet and operations and is designed to reflect what the business describes as its three core priorities: smarter solutions, customer experience and value.

Ben Geddes said the Bristol branch had continued to support businesses across the South West through a period of major change for international trade.

“As we’ve navigated the challenges faced by the logistics sector in recent years, we’ve continued to provide businesses across the South West with viable solutions,” he said.

Founded in 1966, Europa Worldwide Group now employs around 1,300 people across 30 sites globally and operates in 160 countries.

Alongside its road freight division, the business operates more than one million sq ft of warehousing space across Corby, Dartford and Birmingham through Europa Warehouse, while its Europa Air & Sea arm has expanded internationally with hubs in Hong Kong, China, India, the UAE and the UK.

Baxter added:

We have 60 years of experience as our foundation and a family of employees committed to delivering for customers no matter the challenge that confronts them. Whether it’s moving goods across the Channel Tunnel or the South China Sea, we are ready for the next 60 years.
